New from Raven Solutions: Hands-on Mac Training in the Denver area!

Starting in September, 2009, Raven Solutions will provide affordable hands-on training for a number of Mac applications in partnership with MacHelp4Me. The courses will be held at Artistic Body Development Studio [click for map] at 520 Cherokee Street, Denver, CO 80204.

iWeb 101: The Basics of iWeb ‘09

iWeb iconIn this 3-hour class, you’ll learn all the basics on how to use iWeb to build an attractive and functional web site. Want your own domain name (the “.com” address)? I’ll show you how.

We’ll talk about the best way to host your web site, and you can even get a free month of web hosting as part of the class.

You’ll discover how easy and fun it is to create your own web site complete with photo and video galleries, a blog, and even more professional features.

Steve also teaches  you how to keep your site up-to-date and fresh, to keep friends or customers coming back to see what’s new with you or your company.

iWeb 102: Doing More With iWeb ‘09

Once you’ve learned the basics of iWeb ’09, you can learn even more tricks that will turn you into an iWeb pro!

In this 3-hour class, you’ll learn how to customize your web site to your needs using the many built-in tools in iWeb ’09.

Want to create your own web store? You can sell items through your a store created within iWeb ’09. Would you like to integrate social media such as Twitter into your site? I’ll show you how!

Web widgets are a tool created by Apple to add functionality to iWeb sites. You’ll learn how to take advantage of iWeb ’09’s web widgets to make your web site even more useful and attractive to your friends and customers.

Through this hands-on experience,  you’ll gain knowledge that can take you well beyond the basics of iWeb ’09.

This class is a great follow-on for people who have attended the iWeb 101 class, or who already have some limited experience with iWeb ’09 and wish to improve their skills.

New – Hands-on with WordPress

This class is an offshoot of a blogging class I teach at Arapahoe Community College. In one three-hour session, I’ll take you through everything you need to know about setting up and customizing a WordPress blog. If you have an idea for a domain name, we’ll even register that name and set up site hosting for you (one year free hosting provided).
